1. Agreement to these terms

These terms govern your access to and use of EditorBuddy — the website, the editing application, the API, and the MCP server (together, the “service”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you're using EditorBuddy on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing for that organization too, and confirming you have the authority to do so.

2. Your account

You need an account to use EditorBuddy, created and authenticated by EditorBuddy (with an email and password, or Sign in with Google). You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 13 years old to use EditorBuddy, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that's higher.

3. What you can do with the service

EditorBuddy lets you upload video and audio, describe edits in plain language, and have a team of AI agents plan and execute those edits — captions, clips, translation, dubbing, cleanup, publishing and more. You can use the output commercially, subject to the content rules below and any third-party rights in your source material.

4. Content you upload

You retain ownership of the video, audio, scripts and other content you upload (“your content”). You're responsible for having the rights to upload it and to have it processed by our agents. We use your content only to provide the service to you — to run the requested edits, generate transcripts, and (if you've enabled memory) to learn your editing preferences for future projects.

You may not upload content that's illegal, infringes someone else's rights, contains malware, or that you don't have permission to process — including using likenesses, voices or performances of people who haven't consented.

5. AI-generated output

Output from our agents — cuts, captions, translations, dubs, generated images and thumbnails — is provided “as is.” AI models make mistakes: mistranscriptions, mistranslations, awkward cuts, or captions that miss the intended emphasis. Review agent output before publishing, especially for translated or dubbed content, medical, legal or safety-related material.

6. Plans, billing and usage limits

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, as described on /pricing. AI minutes, storage and API usage are subject to the limits of your plan; exceeding them may pause processing until your next billing cycle or you upgrade. Prices may change with notice; changes apply at your next renewal.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to generate deceptive deepfakes or impersonate real people without consent
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, rate limits or cost caps through automation or multiple accounts
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell access to the service or the MCP server
• Use the service to process content that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction
• Interfere with the operation of the service, including the agent runtime or video workers

8. API and MCP access

API keys and MCP server access are issued per account and are subject to the same per-job and per-day cost caps as the web app. Keep API keys secret — you're responsible for usage under your keys. We may revoke keys that are abused or exposed.

9. Termination

You can stop using EditorBuddy and delete your account at any time from /settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. On termination, your access to the service ends; see our privacy policy for what happens to your data.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, EditorBuddy isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for losses arising from AI-generated output you chose to publish without review. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We'll post the updated date at the top of this page, and for material changes we'll notify you by email or an in-app notice before they take effect.
